Work shall include, but not limited to the following: Remove t he existing insulated multi-ply built-up roof system and asphalt shingle roof sy stem and associated sheet metal and accessories; replace with new system and coo per standing seam roof system. Clean exterior walls and replace mand repair dete riorated masonry wall components. Estimated cost range is between $500,000 and $ 1,000,000. The project is being procured using informal source selection procedu res which will result in a firm fixed-price award to the offeror which provides the "greatest value" to the Government with technical ability being more importa nt than price. The term "similar projects" shall be defined for evaluation purpo ses as the removal of existing insulated multi-ply built-up and asphalt shingle roof systems and accosted sheet metal and accessories and replacing with a new r oof system as specified and a new cooper standing seam roof system and accessori es. Clean exterior masonry wall components, replace deteriorated sealant and mo rtar; repair cracked, spalled and deteriorated masonry wall components. Roof ar ea consist of approximately 49,900 square feet. The evaluations are, descending order of importance: (1) Experience and Qualifications of Primary Subcontractors, Project Manager, and On-Site Project Superientendent. This factor considers t he achievements or excellence accomplishment on similar projects within the last 3 years as well as related education and training. (2) Past Performance of Offe ror. This factor considers the quality of the Offeror's past performance in carr ying out work of a similar nature with reference to such considerations as timel eness, technical success and completion within budget. Technical evaluation wil l be based on responses to the questionnaire which will be a part of the request for proposal. Award ofthis contract is contingent upon successful negotiation s of a reasonable price. However, award may be made without discussions. The s olicitaiton will be issued on or about March 3, 1997. A Pre-Proposal Conference will be scheduled for on or about March 18, 1997.
