The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is interested in procuring Underwater Diving Services at sixteen of its district Flood Control Projects. The services to be provided consist of providing the necessary management, personnel, materials, supplies, tools, diving equipment, fuel and vehicles, which are required to perform underwater services at any or all of the 16 Pittsburgh District reservoirs. Some of the services to be provided consist of underwater diver inspection of stilling basin floors, training walls, baffles, weirs, end sills, dam toes, outlet works, intakes, upstream dam faces and downstream river beds, underwater photography (both 35mm and videotape); installation and or recovery of equipment such as floating boat docks, repairs to depth gauging manometer systems, and thermistor strings/buoys; operate and tend a Government furnished Remotely Operated Vehicle system and operate Government furnished underwater centrifugal jetting pumps. It is anticipated that the government will award a time and materials/requirements type of contract for a base period with 4 one year option periods.
