Commissary Agency (DeCA) has a requirement for a contractor to supply
personnel, supervision, management, and non-personal technical services
to accomplish software maintenance and operational support for its
Corporate Information Utility (CIU) and/or Unix or Windows NT
applications in order for DeCA to Provide necessary user support and
accurate management information. Technical services include, but are
not limited to, system administration, help desk operation,
requirements analysis, software development, configuration management,
standard application troubleshooting, integration troubleshooting,
systems analysis, system design, programming, debugging, testing,
software integration and conversion, maintenance documuentation,
installation, transition support, problem isolation, rapid recording
and resolution of customer problems, hardware troubleshooting,
communications troubleshooting, hardware relocation, hardware setup and
installation, inventory management, and testbed operation.
Thecontractor must be able to provide support at Ft. Lee, VA and
outside Ft. Lee, VA when required. World-wide travel may be required.
Approximately 3,100 workstations are in place. These include desktop
and notebook microcomputers based on Intel processors from 80386
through Pentium. Operating Systems include, MS-DOS 5 or better and
Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups or Windows 95. The standard
workstation software set is composed of commercial off the shelf (COTS)
items: WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS, WordPerfect 6.2 or higher for Windows,
Informs, Harvard Graphics 3 or higher, Lotus 1-2-3 4.01 or higher,
McAfee Anti-Virus, Sunsoft PC-NFS and PC-NFS PRO, Honeywell (WANG)
Glink, WordPerfect Office, Novell Groupwise 4.1 or higher, Microsoft
Office, and Internet Explorer. Specific groups are configured with
Microsoft Office Pro (Word, Powerpoint, Access, Excel), Windows NT and
Microsoft Project. Approximately 40 Intel-based CIU servers are in
place, ranging from single 486/33 Everex Steps to quad-Pentium 100
platforms by Telecom Designs and Hybinette. Hewlett=Packard HP9000
minicomputers are configured as electronic mail servers. Operating
systems are HP-UX, SCO Unix, or Windows NT and BackOffice. All DeCA
systems are accessed from CIU through Telnet sessions. An Indefinite
Quantity/Indefinite Delivery Time and MAterials type contract for one
year with four option years is contemplated. NO TELEPHONE
