M -- MARKET SURVEY OF BASE OPERATIONS SUPPORT SERVICE POC POC: major Don Miller (810) 574-7176 The United States army Tank-Automotive and armaments command is conducting a market survey for procurement of base operations support services. This market survey and the procurement that will follow is unrestricted, SIC 8744. Estimated cost of services is more than $10,000,000 per year. Period of performance is for a 12 month period starting 1 Oct 98 and four (4) option years. Base operation functions consist of installation logistics, media support services, facility engineering services for approximately 996 acres and 531 buildings, equipment support, administrative services, family housing management, and transportation management. Award will be based upon evaluation of the proposals for base performance year and all option years in four areas: technical, management, cost, and past experience. Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal is determined to offer the best value to the government based upon the evaluation criteria. Therefore, award may be made to other than the low offeror.
