US Army CECOM proposes to procure 15 1.75 Watt Linear Drive Cryogenic Coolers over a 12 month period from the estimated date of contract award, with an option for up to an additional 45 1.75 Watt Coolers. The coolers shall meet the requirements of performance specifications PRF-3154169A and interact with the Standard Advanced Dewar Assembly, Type I (SADA I), meeting performance specifications PRF-A3207241 and PRF-A3207242. For consideration, each of the above elements must be individually addressed. Data to include prior testing of the 1.75 Watt unit must be furnished to support responsiveness to the effort. The Government will provide for pre-production testing of subject coolers. The proposed procurement will result in a sole source firm-fixed price (FFP) contract to AEG Infrared Modules (AIM) of Heilbron, Germany. This procurement is the result of the Foreign Comparative Test (FCT) Program. The FCT is a congressionally mandated program that demonstrates the willingness of the US to purchase foreign items meeting technical requirements. The estimated date that the solicitation will be available on the Electronic Bulletin Board (EBB) is February 18, 1997. The U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) has established an Electronic Bulletin Board (EBB) to provide electronic transmittal of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Invitations for Bids (IFBs) from Government to Industry. All interested parties wishing to do business with CECOM are invited to access, operate, send and receive data from the CECOM EBB system. To become a user of the EBB, you will need an identification code and password in addition to a computer terminal equipped with the necessary hardware and software to interface with the EBB system. A user's identification code and password will be issued upon request along with instructions for downloading the EBB User's Manual. All requests must include (1) company name, (2) point(s) of contact name(s) and title(s), (3) return address(es) and (4) telephone number(s).
