D -- MAINTENANCE OF THE AREA RESOURCE FILE (ARF) SYSTEM SOL 213-97-0007 POC Diane Coger, tel: (301) 443-7083, Contracting Officer, Rosanna Browning DHHS/PSC/AOS/Division of Acquisition Management, ADP Acquisitions Branch plans to issue a request for proposal (RFP) for the Health Resources and Services Administration, Bureau of Health Professions to obtain the services required to maintain and update the Area Resource File (ARF) System and to prepare analytic tabulations and analytic data files from ARF data. The ARF System is a computer-based, health information system with a wide range of health-related and socio-economic data from dozens of sources. It is organized into five major files and over 100 minor files. This system of files may be linked together or used individually for the analysis of health manpower supply and requirements, health manpower shortage area designation, health manpower planning, and a number of related technical analyses, including those of health care system interaction and health status causation. The contract term shall be from the effective date of the contract (around June 1, 1997) through February 28, 1998 with four twelve-month options. This requirement is a 100% small business set aside under SIC code 7371. The RFP will be issued approximately 15 days from the date of this publication.
