The Metropolitan Correctional Center, Chicago, Illinois, is soliciting for the services of medical care to federal prisoners. The Government prefers a multiple award contract to the Contractors that can provide both inpatient and outpatient care at the contractor's facility. Services will be required for a one-year base period, with four one (1) year option periods for a total of sixty months from the date of award. Only medical facilities within a thirty (30) mile radius from the institution will be utilized for inpatient/outpatient services. The estimated quantities for each period of the contract are as follows: Base period: Inpatient days -- 30, Outpatient visits -- 175; Option period one: Inpatient days -- 30.
