The primary purpose of this project is to provide meals, training, and
placement of students involved in the food service training program at
the Pine Ridge Job Corps Civilian Conservation Center. The Government
estimates a total 351 feeding days for an average of 170 to 200
students per day and an average of 5 to 10 staff members per day. Most
students will be on 14 days home leave over the Christmas holidays.
The Contractor will be notified of the date and time when students
leave, the date and time of their return to the Center and how many
students are left on Center over the holidays. The contractor must
provide individualized competency based vocational training for 10-15
socioeconomically disadvantaged youths, between the ages of 16-27, per
day. Such training must be designed to develop the specific skills,
knowledge and attitude necessary for job placement in the Food Service
field. The services are to be provided at the Pine Ridge Civilian
Conservation Center, approximately 11 miles south of Chadron, Nebraska.
The contract period is for one year, with four possible one year
options. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be
