Part No., MIL-SPEC, FED-SPEC, QPL, size, dimensions, form, fit, function, predominant material, quantity, option quantity/period of performance). Waste Compactor, consisting of a totally enclosed compaction chamber, ventilation system, locally mounted control console and a weighing system. The unit shall be used to compress such waste material as paper, plastic, cloth, steel drums and polyurethane bottles, which may be radioactively contaminated. The system must prevent the escape of radioactive contamination to the environment. Also required are four each waste containers for use in the compactor. Containers must meet Department of Transportation specification 7A, Type A package requirements, as specified in Article 178.350 of Title 49 CFR. A complete specification will be included in the solicitation. Desired delivery is 60 days after contract award. Inspect at source, accept at destination.
