The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, MD has a requirement for testing and evaluating interference problems between the F/A-18 aircraft's Multi-Functional Information Distribution System (MIDS) and the AN/APX-100(V) IFF Transponder. The testing and evaluation should be completed over a six week period, with testing beginning approximately 01 March 1997. The sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the AN/APX-100(V) is AlliedSignal Inc. They retain all proprietary rights for the AN/APX-100(V). In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements.
