This is not an announcement for the availability of a solicition/RFP. Sources should not respond with a request for a copy of an RFP. The Department of Energy, Idaho Operations Office, announces its intent to proceed on a sole source basis (simplified acquisition procedures-commercial item) for the conversion of existing Oracle single server software licenses (60 concurrent Windows clients) to network server licenses (serving approximately 450 users). Oracle products involved are 1 ea.-Oracle 7, 1 ea.-Oracle Webserver Option, Developer/2000 (Single Named user), Designer/2000 (Single User Named User) to run on current DOE Idaho platform consisting of Sun SparcServer 1000E Solaris V. 2.4, CD-ROM media. It is anticipated that any source capable of meeting the needs would have a functionally equivalent or better software product with an installation, training and first year license price in the range of, or less than the Oracle upgrade cost.
