The Defense Reutilization and Marketing Service (DRMS) provides sales contract administration support to the US Navy. DRMS has the requirement to provide environmental oversight of the ship-breakers to ensure responsible and compliant handling, transportation and disposal of hazardous property. DRMS will require services to assess the risks, compliance and internal controls at shipbreaker's sites regarding federal, state and statutory environmental requirements. At this time, DRMS is solicitating prospective sources for this requirement. DRMS is also interested in opinions regarding if this type service is being completed in the commercial, vs Government, sector.
