This project consists of the construction of a new single story 3,800 SF training facility. The building shall be constructed of CMU load bearing exterior walls mounted on concrete footings; concrete floor slab on-grade; architectural face brick exterior finish, and a multi level roof system comprised of overlapping insulated metal standing seam roof panels on a metal deck mounted on sloped structural steel joists. Other areas consist of an enclosed vestibule, entry way, briefing are, prep area, a single toilet room, mechanical room, custodial room, secure storage area and storage for compressed CO2 containers; centralized HVAC system, with ductwork, grills, diffusers, etc. Supportive facilities include a pad mounted transformer, pavements, walks,landscaping and external utility connections. Estimated construction magnitude $250,000 to $500,000. Performance time will be 180 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. IFB will be issued on or about 12 Mar 97. This procurement is being solicited in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Statutory limitations are not applicable to this project. Congressional notification required prior to award. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) is 1542. The related small business standard applicable to this construction project is $17 million average annual receipts from the preceding three years. Bid packages are available to PRIME contractors only on a first come first serve basis. Local contractors are required to pick up bid packages.
