496-6546 The National Library of Medicine intends to negotiate on a
sole-source basis with the Allegheny University of Health Sciences,
Center City Campus, Broad & Vine, Philadelphia, PA 19102-1192 for a
nine-month purchase order to continue work performed under Contract
N01-LM-4-3547 under the authority 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1) and FAR
6.302-1(b)(1). Hahnemann University was awarded a fourteen month
contract in September, 1994 based on their unsolicited proposal for the
"Model Program to Train Persons in the Community to Locate Information
about HIV/AIDS." Under this contract, Hahnemann developed a model
program for training people in the community to locate information
about HIV/AIDS. A "Putting the Pieces Together Workshop" manual and
corresponding World Wide Web (WWW) website were developed under this
contract. The National Library of Medicine is interested in issuing a
purchase order to Allegheny University (a merger of the former
Hahnemann University with the Medical College of Pennsylvania Medical
School) to update the manual and website developed under the fourteen
month contract with Hahnemann University. This notice is not a request
for quotations, however, all responsible sources may submit a
quotation within fifteen days of this notice which will be considered
by the National Library of Medicine. The period of performance shall
begin on or about April 30, 1997. Inquiries regarding this sole-source
