The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) has a requirement for project management,
technical & engineering, and logistics support services of Selected
Major Acquisition Projects. An indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity
contract type with task orders on a firm-fixed price or labor-hour
basis is anticipated. The contract will consist of a base year and four
one-year option periods. Support services required are: data management
of paper copy, microfilm, computer disks and tapes, and compact disks,
consolidation, reduction, storage, retrieval; conversion and
disposition of technical data; performing surveys and analysis;
developing plans, procedures, and implementation; and technical
writing. Proposals will only be solicited from eligible 8(a) firms and
the proposed solicitation will be conducted on a competitive basis.
The SIC Code is 8711 and the size standard is $2.5 million. Interested
8(a) firms, please request a copy of the solicitation immediately,
since the solicitation will be issued without further notice upon SBA
acceptance of the requirement for the section 8(a) program. Request For
Proposals (RFP) will not be forwarded, accepted, or received via fax.
The May 23, 1997 proposal due date is based on an assumed RFP issuance
date of 23 April 1997. This Notice is for information purposes for
Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The
Department of Transportation (DOW), Office of Small and Disadvantaged
Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority,
women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire
short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related
contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000. For further
