This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 1422-N670-Q97-0048 and is being issued as a request for quotations. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-45. This is a 100% set aside for small business; SIC code is 3312 and size standard is 1,000 employees. This requirement is for a firm fixed price contract for: LINE ITEM 1, Fence Post: Steel, Tee type section with anchor plate, weight: 1.33 lbs/ft. Color: solid green. Length: 5 ft. with fence clips-minimum 4/post, 9,400 each; LINE ITEM 2, Barbed Wire: 12 Gauge Galvanized, 1320' rolls, 360 each; LINE ITEM 3, Barbless Wire: 12 Gauge Galvanized, 1320' rolls, 170 each. Description. STEEL FENCE POSTS: shall be T bar type with a welded or riveted anchor plate. Posts shall be manufactured from wrought, rail, or new billet steel, and shall weigh a of 1.33 lbs. per foot exclusive of the anchor plate, which shall weigh a minimum of 0.67 lbs., and shall be a minimum of 18 sq. Inches in area. Posts shall be painted green: steel fence posts shall be in accordance with Federal Specification RR-F-221/3. BARBED WIRE: a strand of two 12 gauge galvanized wires twisted together with 2-point barbs of 12 gauge wire spaced 4 inches apart. Wire and barbs shall be zinc-coated steel, with a zinc coating of at least 0.3 oz/ft2 of coated surface area. The minimum breaking strength of each wire shall be 950 lb. force. BARBLESS WIRE: a strand of two 12 gauge galvanized wires twisted together. Wire shall be zinc-coated steel, with a zinc coating of at least 0.3 oz/ft2 of coated surface area.
