B -- ECONOMIC FORECASTS AND ANALYSIS POC Contracting Officer 202/512-5102 The U.S. General Accounting Office (GAO) has a need for economic forecasts and analysis. The GAO intends to place a non-competitive delivery order under the Congressional Budget Office's (CBO) FY1998 contract with Data Resources (DRI) Inc., for the Hill-wide provision of economic forecasts and analysis for services to begin October 1, 1997. While the FY1998 contract is not yet in place, GAO is placing notice of intent at this time to utilize the contract once it is finalized. Currently, GAO is acquiring services in the same manner through CBO's FY1997 contract for the period ending September 30, 1997. Specific services to be acquired include DRI Publication Services, DRI Master U.S. Quarterly Economic Model, DRI data access, and DRI EPS software. No solicitation will be issued. It is believed that there are no other sources capable of providing the required services. See Numbered Note 22. (0092)
