It is intended to place a Firm Fixed Price Contract for the manufacture, acceptance testing and delivery of improved A-cables and torpedo receptacles in accordance with NAVSEA drawings. The solicitation will include a Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) for 4 Cable Assemblies, 4 Connector Assembly, Torpedo Receptacles and 8 Socket Insert Assembly, Cable Plugs as First Article. Production Hardware shall consist of 330 Cable Assemblies, 330 Connector Assembly, Torpedo Receptacles, 500 Socket Insert Assemb ly, Cable Plugs and Data. There will also be and Option for 415 Cable Assemblies, 415 Connector Assembly, Torpedo Receptacles, 500 Socket Insert Assembly, Cable Plugs and Data. The contract resulting from this solicitation will be awarded to that responsible offeror submitting the technically acceptable proposal determined to be the Best Value for the Government base on the following evaluation criteria: Technical Capability and Total Price. Technical Capability will be determined in accordance with the following factors, based on information submitted in response to the provisions in Section L entitled "Technical Proposals". In order to be determined technically acceptable, the offeror must be evaluated as technically acceptable in each of the areas identified: Technical Approach and Past Performance which are relatively equal.
