The Government intends to purchase on a sole source basis the following software upgrade items manufactured and provided by AEA Technology Engineering Software Inc. The Government requires this software to be upgraded to a perpetual license: upgrade of existing CFX software (computational fluid dynamics computer code) to a perpetual license. Upgrade includes a runtime license for CFX 4 and TASCflow packages which consists of: CFX 4 package includes: CFX 4-Globally unstructured multiblock solver, CFX-MESHBUILD-Preprocessor, CFX-Visualise-AVS based post-processor CFX-MAN-CFX User manuals, CFX-RADIATION-Radiation module with Monte Carlo method capabilities; TASCflow package includes: Solver-Full field coupled, globally unstructured multiblock solver, TASCgrid, Post-processor; annual maintenance is included for the first year and shall consist of all updates, upgrades and unlimited telephone support, Monday -- Friday excluding Government holidays, hours 8 AM -- 5 PM EST (1 each). AEA Technology Engineering Software Inc is the proprietary and only known source to provide the software upgrade. This software upgrade must be compatible with the current line of Silicon Graphics workstations. This software will calculate the evaporation of chemical agents, absorption of chemical agents into ship painted surfaces, and the decay of biological materials. Solar heating of the ship surfaces, modeled with a radiation module, can be an important consideration in these calculations. The TASCflow package offers extremely fast convergence with accuracy always being second order in nature. Award is to be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
