Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to enter into a contract
on a single source basis with Illgen Simulation Technologies Inc.
(ISTI) for software Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V)
efforts to support the development of two separate, but closely related
development projects -- the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) and
the National Satellite Test Bed (NSTB). All interested firms should
submit a Statement Of Qualifications which addresses the type of work
required herein by APRIL 18, 1997, no later than 4:00 P.M., EDT.
Companies interested in this requirement should submit a written
response of no more than four pages in length which provides relative
experience to meet the requirements of the software IV&V efforts. Only
written responses will be acknowledged. You may send your response by
various alternatives: (1) the electronic email address; (2) facsimile;
or (3) hand carry or mail to Federal Aviation Administration, Portals
Building, ATTN: Susan Eicher, AND-730, 1284 Maryland Avenue, SW,
Washington, DC 20024 only between the hours of 9:00 a.m. -- 4.:00 p.m.
The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government
intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the
authority of the FAA Acquisition Management System. Interested persons
may identify their interest and capability to respond to the
requirement or submit proposals. However, all proposals received within
ten days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered
by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete
with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is
solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received
will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining
