COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF APRIL 11,1997 PSA#1822William J. Hughes Technical Center, Contracts Branch, ACT-51B, Atlantic
City International Airport, NJ 08405 J -- ON-CALL MAINTENANCE OF RAPISCAN IMAGE PROJECTION DEVICES SOL
DTFA03-97-R-00020 DUE 043097 POC Jose Benitez, Contracting Specialist,
ACT-51B, 609-485-6127. The government has a requirement for on-call
maintenance of the 11 threat image projection devices on the Rapiscan
X-Ray Machines located at two major airports in the USA. The government
contemplates the use of a Time-and-Material type contract which
includes parts, labor, supplies, travel, and per diem for the services
to be provided. The Threat Image Pojection Devices were manufactured
by Rapiscan and it is the FAA'S intention to enter into subject
contract with this company. Notwithstanding, companies believing to
have the capability to provide these services are welcome to write this
office to obtain a copy of the solicitation package which will be
promptly mailed when it becomes available. However, a written request
will not be sufficient as subject companies are instructed to also
submit a Capability Statement certifying that they are capable to
provide these services. We discourage the FAX medium for these requests
and also notify that requests received after April 21, 1997, will be
disregarded. (0099) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0049 19970411\J-0010.SOL)
