81 -- BALE BAGS AND WIRE TIES SOL 71-M-APHIS-97 DUE 060297 POC POC: For technical information contact Barbara Knotz @ 612/370-2201 E-MAIL: smpt:bknotz, smpt:bknotz@aphis.usda.gov. 81 -- The USDA, Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), Cotton Division, Memphis, Tennessee, intends to acquire 20,025 poly spiral bale bags for flat bales, 66" x 100", OR 20,025 spiral sewn burlap bale bags for flat bales, 66" X 100", and 13,650 wire bale ties, 10 gauge, 10' 3", 6 wires each position, and 6110 wire bale ties, 10 gauge, 10 foot, 6 wires each pattern. Unit of issue is each. Bags shall meet the National Cotton Council specifications dated May 1996. Delivery to several locations throughout the cotton growing regions of the United States for the period beginning July 1, 1997 through September 1, 1997. Firm-fixed price contract. F.O. B. Destination. The solicitation is to be released on or about May 1, 1997.
