The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport proposed to enter into a sole source contract with Tektronix, Inc. of Beaverton, OR for: 1) a Tektronix TLS-711 benchtop color mainframe, with extra options: 17 in. color monitor and LACART LSA cart. Salient characteristics: Microsoft Windows 95 operating system, 133 MHz pentium, 16 Mbytes EDO DRAM memory, 256Kbyte pipeline burst cache with writeback, 1 MByte display memory, built-in PC speaker transducer, 840 MByte Hard drive, built-in 3.5 inch 1.4 4 MByte floppy drive, compatible with standard PCM-CIA plug and play accessories; 2) Tektronix TLA 7M3 Logic Analyzer Module, with salient characteristics: 102 channels, 2 GHz timing 100 MHz state, 512 Kbytes deep, 6 P6417 probes; 3) TLA 7M4 Logic Analyzer Module, with salient characteristics: 136 channels, 2 GHz timing 100 MHz state, 512 Kbytes deep, 8 P6417 probes; 4) TMS 540 Power PC Disassembler with salient characteristics: monitors address and data lines, show op-code fetch, reads and writes, shows each instruction along side its neumonic; and 5) TMS 702 TI C31 Disassembler, with salient characteristics: monitors address and data lines, shows op-code fetches, reads and writes, shows each instruction along side its neumonic. Includes option for Probe Adapter for C31 Quad Flat Pk. Delivery is required 30 days after contract award. The Government intends to solicit a quotation from Tektronix and award a firm fixed price contract via simplified acquisition procedures/SF1449 before 08 MAY 1997. O ther than Full and Open Competition procedures are being used because the system must not only meet the listed salient characteristics but must be compatible with the trace and word set-up menus for the digital analysis systems currently owned by the NUWC Dept.
