39 -- ONE 60-TON OVERHEAD ELECTRIC TRAVELING CRANE (OET), FOR PEARL HARBOR NAVAL SHIPYARD, PEARL HARBOR, HI SOL N62472-97-R-1642 DUE 061697 POC JoAnn M. This solicitation will be for the procurement of a 60-Ton Overhead Electric Traveling (OET) Crane for Building 129 at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, Pearl Harbor, HI. The crane is to be designed, manufactured, shop-assembled, delivered, installed and tested by the contractor in accordance with the requirements of the specification. The crane shall be an electrically powered, pendent controlled, double girder bridge type with a single overrunning hoist/trolley operating from a 480 VAC, 3-phase, 60-Hertz system. This solicitation will be distributed on 3.5 inch disks in MICROSOFT WORD and EXCEL on or about May 15 1997. All firms responding will be required to print and return Section K and various attachments along with their proposals. This procurement will be a Request For Proposal (RFP) utilizing Source Selection procedures. The basis for any award resulting from the RFP shall be based on the best value to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following evaluation factors will apply to subject solicitation: Price and Technical Factors which shall be evaluated on an equal basis. The Technical Factor to be evaluated consists of: 1) Technical Approach, 2) Management Plan and 3) Corporate/Past Experience. This RFP will be issued as a total Small Business Set-Aside. A pre-proposal conference, to be held at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, will be scheduled at a later time. (0115)
