Herting 202/326-4160 The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) intends to procure a maintenance contract for PBGC telephone systems from NEC Business Communications System (EAST), Inc. Maintenance services are required for NEC equipment located at multiple PBGC sites across the nation. The equipment consist of, but is not limited to the following: NEAX 2400 MMG HDS, three NEC ACD3, NEC OCTEL Maximum Voice Mail System, NEC Navigator, NEC Key Professional System, VSX Integrated North Coast Logic Call Detail Reporting System, six T-1 CCIS links, three large UPS at three separate sites, and other telephone paraphernalia. NEC is the exclusive distributor and service provider of the VSX Integrated North Coast Logic Call Detail Reporting System in which all PBXs are linked to the VSX via CCIS. NEC has a presence of NEC service technicians in all of the PBGC sites. It is in the best interest of the Government to obtain these services from NEC. The period of performance will be for a base year (October 1, 1997 -- September30, 1998) with four one-year options for renewal. This is not a request for proposals.
