The supplier shall furnish and deliver steel sheet piling for the upstream cofferdam as part of the modification to Lost Creek Dam, which will be unloaded by others. Lost Creek Dam near Croyden, Utah will be modified to remediate the potential for liquefaction in the foundation materials upstream and downstream of the dam. In order to control seepage through the upstream cofferdam and alluvial foundation, steel sheet piling shall be supplied which shall provide as effective of a seepage cutoff as possible. The sheet pilings shall be driven to bedrock or refusal as show on drawing in the solicitation. These piles shall be capable of being spliced as necessary to achieve both the bottom elevation (at bedrock or refusal) and top elevation required. It is anticipated that the sheet piles will be driven in coarse, granular materials of varying densities, containing some cobbles and boulders.
