information for potential sources for aircraft maintenance of DFRC
program support aircraft which currently includes F/A-18 A&B, T34C, and
mission management aircraft, currently a BE200 KingAir. Operation on
the KingAir also requires pilot personnel to support mission management
flights in accordance with NHB 7900.3. This effort also provides for
all Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) maintenance, operation of
Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI), operation and maintenance of the DFRC
Battery Lab for both NI-Cad type batteries, as well as Lead Acid
batteries, and also provides personnel, paint and chemicals to support
necessary painting of AGE and aircraft touch up. It is anticipated
that this effort will have a number of options for (1) Maintenance &
Electrical/Electronic technician support for research aircraft and
backshop support, (2) Configuration and Drawing Control technicians,
(3) NASA aircraft maintenance for: large mulit-engine jet transports,
executive jets, turbo-prop commuter class, and Air Force Flight Test
Center aircraft in the above listed categories. No solicitation exists;
therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. Interested
offerors/vendors having the required specialized capabilities to meet
the above requirement should submit a capability statement of 10 pages
or less indicating the ability to perform all aspects of the effort
described herein. Please advise if the requirement is considered to be
a commercial or commercial-type product. A commercial item is defined
in "Note A". This synopsis is for information and planning purposes
and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will
the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be
notified of the results of the evaluation. Respondents deemed fully
qualified will be considered in any resultant solicitation for the
requirement. Firms responding should indicate whether they are a
socially or economically disadvantaged business firm, an 8(a) firm, a
small business, and/or woman-owned business. The Government reserves
the right to consider a small business or 8(a) set-aside based on
responses hereto. All responses shall be submitted to identified point
