70 -- VME MULTIPROCESSOR BOARD=20 SOL N0025397R0024 DUE 062397 POC Contact Point, Victor Angkico, 360/396-5671 The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), Division Keyport intends = to solicite utilizing the policies and procedures found in FAR Part 12, Acquisition o= f Commercial Items, 20 each, VME Multiprocessor Boards. Each board shall ha= ve at least 4 processing elements (PE=92s). Each PE must: have one or more micro-processors running at a minimum of 40Mhz with peak processing of 80= Mflops or more for 32 bit floating point data and 60 Mflops or more with 64 bit floating point data; have 8 Mbytes or more memory that can be accessed at= a minimum of 160 Mbytes/sec; and have a section of the PE=92s memory design= ated as non-cacheable. The VME board must work in a standard 6U VME chassis with = a Motorola MVME-167 board as the slot 0 controller or VME host. The MVME-16= 7 will be running VxWorks O.S. version 5.1.1. Potential offerors shall be made = aware that the Government has developed extensive software around the currently installed VME Multiprocessor board from Universal Computing. Although all offers meeting the specification shall be acceptable, those offerors who propose boards which will require software/database conversion by the Government will have a conversion cost of $50,000 added to their price pr= oposal for evaluation purposes. The solicitation will be issued on or about 28 M= ay 97 with a 30 day closing. This acquisition is being 100% set-aside for small business concerns.
