X -- FREEZER SERVICE SOL CC-97-09 POC John Friedhoff, Contract Specialist, 301/496-3704. Contractor shall furnish (6) freezer and 2 backup freezers 33 cubic feet each at -70 degrees to -80 degrees. The Contractor shall inventory, monitor, store, and safely maintain all specimens for one year estimated to start on September 1, 1997, with 4 sucessive one year options. These options include at the Government's discretion adding 1 additional contractor owned and/or Government owned freezer if needed each option year. Walk in freezer space at -20 degrees for 32 square feet is required in the base year with space available up to 100 square feet over the life of the contract. The contractor shall also provide rental space for 12 government owned 33 cubic foot freezers. The contractor shall be able to provide an estimated 100 pick up and 150 deliveries each year and maintain -70 degrees for samples in transit. The contractor storage facility should be within a 1 hour drive from the National Institutes of Health, Building 10, Bethesda, MD.
