Scott AFB is conducting market research to determine if there are commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) Public Address Paging Systems that meet or could meet, with minor modifications, the following specifications. System must be portable and compact to provide ease of transportation; weatherproof; easily assembled; and capable of operating in a noisy flightline environment. The main unit should contain an amplifier, radio receiver, and uninterruptible power supply. The radio receiver should be wireless, capable of operating over UHF and VHF radio communications, and must be Tone Code/Private Line (PL) squelch and frequency programmable. Amplifier should be 100 watts or better. Power supply should be capable of at least 4 hours of operation and useable with 110V power, switchable to 220V (50/60hz). Require 2 platforms with 3 speakers each, 100 watts or better, mounted to each platform. Each platform will than be mounted on an adjustable tripod. Speakers should be capable of operating 50 feet away from the paging system via cable.
