(IBI). USDA intends to acquire technical support for these products for the period October 1, 1997 through September 30, 2005. Technical support of the source code for the following products is required during that time period: Basic Reporting System (Report Writer); Data Base Management (DBMS) for FOCUS Files; Graphics; Extended Matrix Reporting; FOCCALC; FOCUS DBMS Server; Host Language Interface; Talk Technologies; Multiple Session Option; FOCNET Server Kernel; FOCNET LU0 Protocol; FOCNET LU2 Protocol; DB2 Read Interface; CA-IDMS/R Interface; HiperFOCUS; Smartmode/FOCUS; Oracle R/W Interface; PC Data Export (Interface); COBOL to FOCUS Master Translater (CTF); Data Dictionary; Server/Client MVS; Read Driver IDMS/R; R/W Driver DB2; R/W Driver Oracle; Dyn Ext DB2; TCP/IP EDA/SQL; and LU2 EDA/SQL. The only known source which has access to the IBI source code for the listed products is the software manufacturer. Interested parties which can demonstrate their capability and experience in providing technical support for IBI's software may submit documentation which illustrates these capabilities. Alternative software and technical support for alternative software products is not within the scope of this requirement. Any documentation provided mst include information showing the potential offeror's past experience in supporting IBI software listed above as well as pricing. This is a notice of intent, NOT a Request for Proposals. NO solicitation document exists. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be acknowledged.
