RECREATIONAL BOATER'S COAST PILOT PUBLIC DISCUSSION WORKSHOP NOAA's National Ocean Service/Office of Coast Survey is exploring the development of a new product, the Recreational Boater's Coast Pilot. Designed to promote marine safety, this product will include important Coast Pilot and other marine information useful to the recreational boater. The product will be a single page measuring approximately 24"x30" and folded road-map style. It is intended for a specific, but limited, area and includes a reduced-scale reference copy of the corresponding nautical chart on one side. To address the potential of this new product, the Office of Coast Survey will host a "Public Discussion Workshop" for all interested parties. The meeting is intended to provide a forum to share comments and facilitate discussions on this product. The workshop is scheduled for June 10, 1997 at: NOAA/NOS/Office of Coast Survey, 1315 East-West Hwy., Silver Spring, Maryland 20910. The workshop will be held in room 7836 from 1:30 until 3:30.
