This solicitation consists of 18.4 kilometers of grading, drainage, base, and clearing. Project includes: Contractor staking; wetland mitigation excavation; 4 hectare clearing & grubbing; 11,000 cubic meters roadway excavation; 1.5 million board feet logging; 1,600 metric tons aggregate surface course; 50 meters pipe culvert; 9,000 cubic meters placing conserved topsoil; 1 hectare seeding, dry; 1 hectare mulching, dry; 27 square meters construction sign; 900 hours flagger; and other smaller items of work. Project is located approximately 20 kilometers east of Chewelah, Washington. Work shall be completed by November 1,1997. Estimated price range is $250,000 to $500,000. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
