The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has two single phase 5.5 MVA transformers, which each hold approximately 3,890 gallons of oil. The oil in these transformers is in need of processing. The oil shall be processed and pumped by and at the expense of the Contractor from and into the equipment as required by the specifications available on request. "Oil processing" is defined as filtering, dehydrating, and degasifying the oil to comply with the requirements. The transformers may be energized while the oil is being filtered. If necessary the transformers will be de-energized while the hoses are being connected. These transformers are located at: Anderson Ranch Powerplant, approximately 30 miles north of Mountain Home, Idaho. The Contractor shall provide a test report including a gas-in-oil analysis. The Government will observe the oil-processing procedure. The Contractor shall complete the work by September 30, 1997, and shall notify the Contracting Officer in writing at least two weeks prior to the date the Contractor will be on site.
