J -- EXTEND WARRANTY FOR XEROX DOCU COLOR 40 UNIT SOL RFP 600-029-97VJ DUE 070997 POC Glen Jones It is the intent of this VA Medical Center to negotiate sole source on an extended warranty with Xerox Corp. for a Government owned Xerox Docu Color 40 printer/copier with a stacker/stapler and auto document feeder for a period of 510,000 copies. All terms and conditions of Contract GS-26F-1001B, with Xerox, covering full warranty will apply to the extended warranty. The Xerox Docu Color 40 printer/copier is new technology and it is believed only Xerox can provide parts and labor to cover extended warranty. This is not a request to procure a copier. Any request for solicitation RFP 600-029-97 must be in writing stating capabilities to furnish all parts, labor, maintenance under a 510,000 copy basis and be certified by Xerox to provide such service. RFP 600-029-97 will issue O/A June 9, 1997 with proposals due COB July 9, 1997. (0150)
