This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation RFQ 06-97-22. Express Pick Up and Delivery 35 EA $__ __ ___ $__ __ ____ Description of Requirements: The Lassen National Forest, Susanville, CA requires duplicating service. The Contractor shall provide source document pickup, duplicating service, and dleiver the completed work to the Forest Service ordering office. The Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment, paper, facilities, personnel, supplies, and supervision to perform the required service. One year, firm fixed price contract. Performance period starts July 1, 1997. The Forest Service will furnish the doeuments to be duplicated. These documents shall be picked up by the Contractor in the Office Services Section, located at the Lassen National Forest, 55 S. Sacramento St., Susanville, CA . Telephone 916-257-2151. Source documents shall be duplicated as stated on the order transmittal form. Paper shall be either 8.5 inches by 11 inches, 8.5 inches by 14 inches, or 11 inches by 17 inches (20 lbs. per 500 sheets). Paper colors which may be ordered are; white, pink, yellow, green, or blue. Paper types which might be ordered are; white bond, color bond, and card stock. All paper shall contain a minimum of 50 percent waste paper content. Source documents will vary in size. Sizes may be unconventional. Reductions will be indicated by specific order when required. The duplication product shall be collated and stapled as ordered. The Contractor shall be capable of stapling documents up to one-half inch stapled thickness with a single staple. The Contractor shall be capable of doing saddle stitch (stapling in the center of the paper such as a book). Requirements will vary as to frequency, volume, size, and /or turnaround time. There is no guaranteed minimum volume. The Contractor shall be capable of supporting peak volumes within the assigned time frames. Estimated frequency of orders -- approximately 200 orders per month. The Contractor shall pick up the source documents between 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Order turnaround time shall be 24 hours, unless a onger period is given with the order. Express Pickup and Delivery service: The Contractor shall pick up source documents, within ONE HOUR from the time called, between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. The Forest Service will provide a job transmittal form for each job. Source documents covered by the Privacy Act will be stamped "CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION". Requirements of the Privacy Act shall be observed by the Contractor. Contractor performance period is from July 1, 1997 to June 30, 1998. Delivery and acceptance point is the Lassen National Forest, 55 S. Sacramento St., Susanville, CA 96130. Provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition without addenda. Provision 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The specific evaluation criteria are; price, technical capability to perform required tasks; and past performance. Technical capability and past performance combined are of equal weight as price. Offerors are advised to include a completed copy of Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with offer. Provision 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition without addenda.
