Contracting Officer, AGL-72A. The Federal Aviation Administration,
Great Lakes Region, has a requirement for the replacement of an
Instrument Landing System, Runway 14R, at O'Hare International Airport,
Chicago, Illinois. The required work consists of, but is not limited
to, construction of four new equipment buildings, construction of new
MK-20 localizer antenna array foundation, installation of new middle
marker/outer marker antenna foundations, erection of new middle/outer
marker antenna masts, demolition of four existing equipment shelters
including asbestos abatement, demolition of the LLWAS steel tower and
three monitor towers, replacement of inner marker cables and
miscellaneous civil/electrical work. The estimated procurement value is
between $150,000.00 and $350,000.00. The period of performance is 130
calendar days. Only those offers received from firms who have
successfully completed FAA projects similar in scope and magnitude at
an active airport, rated Level III or higher, will be eligible for
award. Contract award will be based on the best value to the FAA. The
solicitation will be available on or around June 16, 1997. Solicitation
