COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JUNE 4,1997 PSA#1859VENDOR EXHIBITS SOUGHT FOR USGS NATIONAL WATER QUALITY CONFERENCE The
U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) will hold a National Water-Quality
Technical Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico on December 1-5, 1997.
The purpose of this meeting is to bring together field technical
personnel active in water-quality investigations. Approximately 200
USGS personnel are expected to attend. The conference will focus on
field protocols and will contain sessions on new and innovative
procedures and equipment, as well as standard traditional methods.
Commercial vendors are invited to exhibit products associated with
water-quality field investigations. Applications for exhibit space from
vendors who sell equipment or supplies that will collect and process
uncontaminated, nonbiased, environmental water samples for analysis of
trace metals, trace organics and ancillary information will be
considered. The exhibition of state-of-the-art (21st century) equipment
is encouraged. The host hotel will charge each vender $400 for an eight
foot display table for the week. The first 20 qualifying vendors will
be invited. Please send a request to attend along with a brief
