Lynn, 703/305-2250/Contracting Officer The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Service (FCS) seeks a qualified contractor for a study of State Food Stamp Nutrition Education Programs (FSNEP). This requirement will be set aside for small businesses. The contractor shall conduct research that will enable FCS to evaluate the match between FSNEP plans submitted to FCS by states and activities implemented by states. The contractor shall conduct telephone interviews of state level staff, case studies of a subset of local FSNEPs, compare this to material proposed in the plans, and propare a report synthesizing the results. The estimated duration of this contract is eighteen months. Pending department approval, the request for proposals (RFP) will be issued on or about June 20, 1997 with proposals due on or about July 21, 1997. A cost-plus-fixed-fee type contract is expected to be awarded. All requests for a complete hard copy of the RFP (including all applicable forms) must be submitted in writing and include four (4) self-addressed mailing labels.
