Z -- FIRE DETECTION/SUPPRESSION SYSTEM AND MISCELLANEOUS REPAIRS SOL N62472-97-B-3018 POC For plans and specifications call, (908) 323-2494 The solicitation announcement for this acquisition which appeared in the CBD dated 6/5/97 is revised as follows: The work includes all material, equipment, labor and supervision, under a Firm Fixed Price Contract, Base Bid and One Bid Option, for the installation of a fire sprinkler, detection system, building upgrades for NFPA compliance. Performance period for Base Bid shall be 120 calendar days. Bid Option 1 includes renovations to restroom facilities and incidental related work. Performance period for Bid Option 1 shall be as follows: if awarded within 60 days of the base contract award date, the contract completion date shall remain unchanged. If awarded 61 days or more from the base contract award date, the contract completion date will be extended 30 calendar days. The contract includes the clause titled "Evaluation of Options" (FAR 52.217-5) Except when determined in accordance with FAR 17.206(b) not to be in the Government's best interest, the Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirements. Evaluation of options will not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s). (End of provision). Option is subject to the Availability of Funds.
