Regulatory Commission (FERC) is seeking a contractor that can scan data
from hard copies of electric rate tariffs, schedules, and supplements
into a CD-ROM format at no cost to the Government. The contractor shall
also provide as a result of scanning, all changes and updates on
subsequent disks to the FERC at no cost. The set of disks will be for
a stand alone IBM compatible personal computer. The FERC will provide
free of charge all hard copies of all current and subsequent electric
rate schedules from the Government's official files. The contractor
will be required to scan the hard copies to CD-ROM using up-to-date
software. All interested contractors offering identical or equivalent
services must identify their interest and fully document their
capability to meet the agency's requirement by forwarding a detailed
response within thirty (30) days of notice. All requests must be in
writing and include company name, telephone number, and GSA contract
number if applicable. All responses must be in writing to the following

Procurement Branch, Rm 4J-03, Washington, DC 20426, Attn: Mary Anne
Wright, Contract Specialist and reference EISD-97-0516. No telephone
responses will be honored. All responses from responsible sources will
be fully considered. If no responses are received within the thirty
days of this announcement, the Contracting Officer may determine that
