Y -- S-65 ADDITION, KISSIMEE RIVER FLORIDA, PROJECT SOL DACW17-97-B-0001 DUE 080697 POC Contract Specialist Kathie Duke (904) 232-3713 (Site Code DACW17) The work consists of the construction of a 2-bay reinforced concrete ogee weir spillway with two 27-foot wide structural steel vertical lift gates. Included in this project are two reinforced concrete vehicular service bridges across the spillway, steel sheet pile retaining wall, steel sheet pile wingwalls, safety barriers, mechanical gate operating machinery, and associated electrical work. The structure will be founded on an underwater concrete seal with soil anchors. Excavation and fill will be required and the new embankments will be riprap protected and transitioned into the existing embankments. A new 1360 square foot concrete masonry unit (CMU) operator's dwelling, a CMU generator house, and water system shed will be constructed. An existing operator's dwelling, generator house, utility building and brick barbecue grill will be demolished. Asbestos and lead based paint removal is required for the operator's dwelling. The existing communications towers and underground LP gas tank will be relocated. Magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.
