F -- WATER QUALITY SUPPORT SERVICES SOL DAKF40-97-R-0021 DUE 082297 POC Contract Specialist DENNIS JONES (910) 396-4362 X232 (Site Code DAKF40) Provide all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, necessary to provide water quality monitoring and chemical dosing for corrosion in the potable water distribution system. Contractor responsible for altering the composition of the water by the addition of Glassy H Phosphate and Zinc Chloride to reduce corrosion and cause the water to be within the mandates of the Lead and Copper rule. Contractor must maintain a central analytical lab and maintain a support group to provide technical assistance to the Contractor's Field Service Representative. Field Service Representative must have a Baccalaureate Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and a minimum of five years experience in water treatment corrosion control. Contractor shall provide an on-site lab during initial start of performance. Chemicals must be from a manufacturer with at least ten years experience in the production and distributions of chemicals. Contractor will provide corrosion coupons and coupon racks for five locations and provide periodic reports. Contract period is anticipated to be twelve months with up to four one-year option periods.
