CELESTE, Phone (703)604-2119 The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) is contemplating issuing, on a competitive basis, a firm fixed price Request for a Proposal to support a requirement by the Program Executive Office for Tactical Aircraft, PMA-259. The anticipated base year and three option years requirement is to provide the following complete ALL UP ROUND Sidewinder AIM-9M missile configurations with spares and rocket motors (desired quantities are in parenthesis): AIM-9M-1 Missile (60), AIM-9M-2 (314), AIM-9M-7 (70), CATM-9M-3 (30), CATM-9M-12 (10), and CATM-9S-2 (4). The spare components consist of various configurations of Guidance Control Sections (52), Containers (1757), Tank Assembly (930), Target Detectors (158), Safety-Arming Device (6), Warhead, Loaded (216), Wing Assembly (392), Fin Assembly (200) and Rocket Motors (12). In addition, the contractor will perform First Article Testing as applicable. The concept of this requirement does not require the Contractor to be the manufacturer. The contractor does not become the Design authority but will manage integration/configuration and be responsible for the delivery of complete AIM-9M missiles and missile set components.
