58 -- SUPPLY OF SHORT RANGE COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS FOR THE ACE SOL IFB-8023-SRCS DUE 071697 POC Alexis Kemper (202) 482-1512 NATO C3Agency is inviting bids for the procurement of short range communication systems for the ACE CIS Contingency Assets Pool. The proposed capabilities include long and short range telecommunications assets and information systems for deployed headquarters and small teams/units and are esssential to command and control deployed forces, to augment the peacetime CIS infrastructure in a crisis area, to support force build-ups, to provide connectivity to and/or improve the information exchange between receiving Headquarters and in-coming reinforcements and to provide rapid restoration of degraded CIS services. Procurement includes VHF transceivers, Wireless P(A)BX Acess, Ground-Air-Ground (G-A-G)Radio Systems, Short Range Line of Sight (LOS)Systems and Fibre Optic (FO)Systems. The successful contractor may be required to handle and store material at the NATO Secret level. Also, certain contractor personnel may be called upon to work at a NATO or national defense site in conjunction with this contract and such contractor personnel will be required to have security clearances to the level of NATO Secret. NATO Secret clearance must be in place prior to contract award. All applicants must be certified to compete in NATO ICB by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of Telecommunications.
