66 -- TECATUR BLOCK DIGESTION SYSTEM SOL FSIS-35-W-97 DUE 071597 POC Contact Point, Julie Adams, (202) 720-9891 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation Subparts 12.6 and 13.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, bids are being requested from this announcement, and a written solicitation document will not be issued. Solicitation No. FSIS-35-W-97 is issued as an invitation to bid (IFB). The applicable SIC Code is 5049. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 46. The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has a requirement for a Tecatur Autosampler Block Digestion System. The system is intended to replace two Kjeldahl analysis units and to reduce the amount of hazardous waste that is generated by the Kjeldahl method for total nitrogen. The instrumentation will serve as a back-up methodology to the primary combustion-based analytical technique. Equipment required: Item 01 Tecatur Kjeltec Auto 110V, P/N TC1035-004 (2 each); Item 02 -- Tecatur Sampler Unit, P/N TC1038-001 (2 each); Item 03 -- Tecatur Combination 20 place Digestion Block with controller, P/N 2020-005 (2 each); Item 04 -- Tecatur Bench Top Scrubber, P/N TC2001-001 (2 each); Item 05 -- Tecatur Lift for the DF20 System, P/N TC2015-021 (2 each); Item 06 -- Tecatur 20 place Exhaust Manifold, P/N TC2020-020 (2 each). All equipment must be factory installed and carry the manufacturer's standard warranty.
