Notice, IFB EMV-97-IB-0021, sandi.nixon@fema.gov. Presolicitation Notice: The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is seeking bidders for the Bldg. 435 Refrigeration System Replacement project. Demolition work consists of removal of the evaporator coils, refrigerant lines, ntrols, electrical feeders and electrical disconnects located in ea cooloer. Architectural work consists of the installation of concrete condenser pad & refurbishment of selected walk-in refrigerator & freezer wall & ceiling finishes, etc. Mechanical work consists of the installation of selected walk-in cooler refrigeration units including condensers, evaporators & controls, etc. Electrical work includes the installation of starters, disconnects, feeders, etc. in support of the refrigeration system modification. New refirgeration box lighting shall be installed & new alarms shall be connected to existing fire alarm system. Work efforts will be performed at FEMA's Mt. Weather Emergency Assistance Center (MWEAC), located at 19844 Blue Ridge Mountain Road, Bluemont, VA 20135, Loudoun County. A valid Virginia Contractor's License will be required in order to bid on and perform the work. The magnitude of the requirement in terms of the estimated price range is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The resulting contract will be a firm-fixed-price/construction -type contract and the requirement is being issued as a total small business set-aside. The period of performance will be 120 calendar days (CD) from the Contractor's receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Construction is req'd to be phased such that cafeteria services are not affected.
