This project is UNRESTRICTED. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) for this project is 1623. The size standard is $17.0 Million. The work includes approximately 4000 linear feet of new 12-inch water distribution main, including gate valves, fire hydrants, drinking water fountain, pavement replacement, and incidental related work. The projected date of availability of the solicitation is 18 July 1997. The projected bid opening date is 18 August 1997. Requests for plans and specifications may be mailed to the above address, Attn: Code 20 or requests may be sent via facsimile using fax #(703) 784-2124. Contractors within the local area are encouraged to pick up a copy of the plans and specs at the office of the Officer in Charge of Construction, Building 2004, Room 211, Quantico, Virginia. The hours of operation are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. There will be no charge for these documents, however, there will be only one set issued per contractor. Requests for plans and specifications and bidder's list should be made separately to avoid confusion. This also applies to requests for numerous solicitations.
