Molis, Contracting Officer, 208-373-4131; Request for Solicitation, Ethel Hill, 208-373-4128; FAX 208-373-4197 The project consists of (1) repairing the Cabin Creek Airstrip landing surface, requiring movement and connection of approx. 1200-1500 cubic yards of fill material, and (2) restoring Cow Creek at the north end of the airstrip to more natural conditions. Disturbed areas along Cow Creek and adjacent to the airstrip will be stabilized with plantings of native vegetation. The work will be by non-motorized methods, involving horse-drawn equipment (fresnos, slips, graders, rollers, wagons, etc.) determined to be the minimum necessary tools to do the identified work. The project is located in the Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness, T21, R12E, Section 24. Est. start date is 8/21/97 with 120 calendar days for completion. See Note(s): 1. (0183)
