IP-1552 family of Control Display Units, NSN: 7025-01-279-5458,
7025-01-237-8098, 7025-01-400-1785 and their associated keyboards NSN:
5895-01-364-4636. The IP-1552 relates to the commercial Rockwell
Collins Nomenclature CDU840-5. Rockwell Collins Part Numbers are:
622-8306-001, 622-8306-002, 822-0699 & 754-2002-001 which corresponds
to the IP-1552/G, A/G, B/G and Keyboard respectively. The IP-1552
supports the AH-64A Apache Helicoper system developed by McDonald
Douglas. This acquisition is expected to result in a five (5) year
Requirements type contract on a Firm Fixed Price basis. A
noncompetitive acquisition under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304
(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1 (b)(1)(i), Only One Responsible Source from
Rockwell Collins, Cedar Rapids, IA, is proposed as the Army does not
possess the necessary hardware and software specifications or
documentation to enable another contractor to repair/upgrade the
IP-1552 equipment. The repair data is proprietary. There are no
commercial or military maintenance manuals. The U.S. Army
Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) has established an
Electronic Bulletin Board (EBB) to provide electronic transmittal of
Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Invitations for Bids (IFBs) from
Government to Industry. All interested parties wishing to do business
with CECOM are invited to access, operate, send and receive data from
the CECOM EBB system. To become a user of the EBB, you will need an
identification code and password in addition to a computer terminal
equipped with the necessary hardware and software to interface with the
EBB system. A user's identification code and password will be issued
upon request along with instructions for downloading the EBB User's
Manual. All requests must include (1) company name, (2) point(s) of
contact name(s) and title(s), (3) return address(es) and (4) telephone
